Biography of Nella Agrenich

She was born in February 18, 1989, in the Soroki village, Volozhin District, Minsk Region, Belarus

In 2012 she graduated from the Belarusian State University of Culture with a degree in rituals and holidays directing (workshop of Nikolay Dudchenko, director Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Belarus).

In 2017 she graduated from the Belarussian State Academy of Arts course of directing feature films (workshop of Renata Gritskova)

Her shirt films were participated and won at international film festivals of short films in Germany, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Armenia and others. 

Nela also gained experience in the documentary films. In 2016, the short documentary film "TATA" that got the Grand Prix of several Russian film festivals at once: the X International Festival Amateur Cinema + Profi and the IV Moscow Documentary Film Festival "MERCY.DOC - 2016", entered the International film festival competitive program films and film schools "BASTAU" (Kazakhstan). 

Her thesis work was  a 32-minute fiction film “My Brother”. It became the best foreign film at the Chinese International Film Festival short film "Golden Kite", the best short film of the XVIII International Festival of Student Films "Golden Five" (Russia). It won in the nomination "Best Film for Children" at the VI International the film festival “Kity” (Ukraine), and entered the international competition program of the 36th International Student Festival VGIK (Russia).  

She writes poems from childhood. They were published in Belarusian newspapers. Poems are included in poetry collections: "Words of Kupalyda Creative Clues" (2015), "Remember and Eat" (2015), "Young Galas Valozhinshchyna" (2012), "Nashchadki" (2009), "Vesnitsy" (2008).
